Hello! My name is Alissa and I live in Riverside, Iowa. I am a microbiologist and am currently a Research Specialist in Oral Microbiology at the University of Iowa. I have been interested in holistic health and lifestyle management for years. Over the years, I've gone to massage therapists, acupuncturists, a functional medicine doctor (who is also a western medicine MD), a functional nutritionist, and others. I've practiced yoga, Pilates, various relaxation techniques, and completed the 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program through the University of Iowa. I'm approaching the end of a Sound Healing Certification program and have experimented with ear seeds on myself. 

I am currently working on increasing my knowledge of wellness and lifestyle management in anticipation of opening a new small business in this field. I plan to incorporate ear seeding as part of this business. I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can in the Mastery Certification course!
